Surbias in the press

Everything you need to write about Surbias — facts, quotes, brand assets. Updated 2026-05-03.

The one-liner

Surbias is the social platform for failure stories. People share what didn't work — anonymously, in 5 languages — to combat survivorship bias and remind each other that failing is normal.

Three things to know

  1. Different by design. Anonymous-by-default. Reactions are empathetic ("me too", "hug", "strength", "respect", "solidarity") instead of likes. There is no follower count, no engagement leaderboard.
  2. Free, ad-free, tracker-free. The platform is funded by voluntary tips on Ko-fi. No investors, no ads, no data sale. Operating cost is ~$5/month on Cloudflare's edge.
  3. Multilingual from day one. Available in English, Spanish, German, French, and Portuguese — with localized stories in each.

Founder quotes (free to use)

"We see the survivors, and we copy them. But the silent majority — the people who tried and failed — disappear. That gap is what kills people's confidence. Surbias is a small attempt to fill it."
"I didn't want another social network. I wanted a place where you can say 'this didn't work for me' without needing a redemption arc at the end."
